We use nylon or engineering-plastic nosepieces and mark-free locating fixtures, and select low-mark rivets for thin-wall aluminum tube. The trial uses painted samples so the finish can be checked directly.
For threaded holes that must be serviced later, a high-force rivet nut gun forms M3–M6 rivet nuts in one cycle. Combined with blind rivets for fixing, this keeps the assembly light and repeatedly serviceable.
